FAQ

Does Nadia shoot film as well as digital?

Yes, Nadia shoots both digital and film photography. I offer film as an add-on for weddings and portrait sessions. Film produces a distinctive quality rich tonal depth, soft grain, and a warmth that digital editing can approximate but never quite replicate. Many clients who love the look of vintage or editorial photography find that adding film to their gallery elevates it in a way that feels immediately distinct.

Keep in mind that film does require a bit more lead time for processing and scanning after the session, so if you’re interested, mention it when you inquire.

Weddings & Engagements

Can we give Nadia a shot list?

Yes, and she welcomes a formals list. The family groupings and must-have portraits that require coordination. Nadia can accommodate up to 20 family/formal groupings comfortably; lists larger than 20 should be submitted at least 14 days before the wedding and work best when a designated family coordinator is on-hand to gather people efficiently. Beyond the formals list, she handles the rest, the candids, details, and in-between moments as they unfold naturally.

Newborn Sessions

When should I schedule a newborn photography session?

The ideal window for posed newborn photography, when babies are sleepiest, most curled, and most cooperative is within the first 5–14 days of life.

After about three weeks, babies become more alert and less predictable to settle. Because birth timing can’t be known in advance, Nadia’s newborn bookings work by reserving a tentative due-date window with a retainer, then confirming the actual session date once the baby arrives. This gives you peace of mind without locking into a fixed date before birth.

What if my newborn is fussy or won’t settle during the session?

Newborn sessions are built with patience as the default setting. Nadia works slowly, allows time for feeding, settling, and soothing, and never rushes the process. Cooperation varies by baby this is entirely normal and expected and Nadia’s experience lets her work effectively even with spirited newborns.

It helps to have baby fed and a little drowsy at the start of the session.

Family Sessions

Can I bring my pet to a family portrait session?

Absolutely pets are family. Nadia offers dedicated pet portrait sessions as well as incorporating animals into family sessions. To ensure best results, bring pets exercised, on-leash (unless previously discussed), and if they’re treat-motivated with a pocket full of motivation.

Image Delivery, Editing & Copyright

How long does it take to receive my photos?

Delivery timelines vary by session type and the photographer’s current workload. I typically deliver portrait sessions within 2–3 weeks. Weddings generally take longer due to the volume of images expect 4–8 weeks as a typical range in the industry. If a film photography add-on is included, film processing and scanning adds additional time on top of the digital delivery. Exact timelines are specified in your agreement, and Nadia communicates proactively if anything changes.

How are finished photos delivered?

I deliver your final edited images are delivered through a private, password-protected online gallery. From there, you can download high-resolution files, share with family, and order prints directly. Gallery access is available for several months after delivery, giving you time to revisit, share, and save your images without pressure.

Can I get the RAW (unedited) files?

No, I do not include RAW files in any package. This is standard professional photography practice. RAW files are working files, not finished products they require editing software and expertise to view properly, and delivering them would be like a baker handing you unbaked dough. The edited, finished images that come out of Nadia’s workflow are the actual deliverable. Image selection, culling, and editing are at her sole artistic discretion and reflect the consistent style clients hire her for.
